Question 1: Can you tell me a little about your background and what motivated you to do the course?
I am Jack bowler. I was a recently graduated school student who was struggling to decide what career path to take in my life. I had an idea I wanted to do design, but didn't specifically know what the job would be like, so I chose the diploma in graphic design to see if I'd like graphics as a career possibility.
Question 2: Can you tell some of the highlights and key things you learnt during the course?
Some of the highlights about the course is the teaching. I found it started off quite strenuous but when you learnt a bit more of the programs I found it was a really good course. There was a lot of support from the teachers to help develop our skills and create something that could give you a smile and say 'I designed this'. The key things learnt in the course are definitely photoshop, illustrator, how to set up documents for print. Also learning all the key terminology to really understand what design requires.
Question 3: What would you say to someone who was considering the course?
What I would say to someone who is considering the course is, I found a passion for graphic design from this course that I previously didn't have when I started. If your worried about how much you know or if you think your not good enough. It doesn't necessarily matter because the course starts off teaching you everything you need to know. Plus you get so much support from your teachers to push you in the right direction and help you learn your own technique and style of design.
